Some places enter our lives by intention, while others appear unexpectedly and leave a lasting mark. Las Vegas became the setting for this series not because it was sought, but because it was encountered.

At the center of the narrative stands Raji, a wandering traveler who finds himself in the city almost by accident, carrying little more than hope, illusion, and the consequences of his own choices. Through seven interconnected chapters, his journey unfolds across moments of wonder, temptation, triumph, disappointment, and departure.

The works presented here are preliminary sketches for a larger series of oil paintings. Together, they form a visual narrative shaped by chance, circumstance, and the unpredictable paths that emerge when aspiration meets reality.

While rooted in the symbolic landscape of Las Vegas, the series is less concerned with a particular city than with the human experience of finding oneself in unexpected places. What begins as an accidental encounter gradually becomes a story of ambition, resilience, illusion, loss, and the quiet determination to continue moving forward..
